home who am i? portfolio contact	I have been a practicing graphic designer and art director for 15 years having worked in agency settings for 10 of that. I am a graduate of Northern Illinois University’s College of Visual and Performing Arts where I studied Visual Communication. In my time as a designer and art director I have had the privilege of working with such clients as Caterpillar, Cat Racing, Motorola, Amerock, Rubbermaid, Warner Electric, Tech Lighting and many more. It has been through my years of agency and client experience that I have developed my own approach to creating great design and communication pieces. My purpose and approach is to create the best design solutions for your communication needs through clear, concise messaging. I approach the message in 3 steps:
		LISTEN, LISTEN & LISTEN MORE… client interview and input – A good understanding of the client needs is where it all begins.
		BRAINSTORM designer research – Find the audience and learn about their needs. Does the message fit? Do they understand it? Can it be simplified?
		CUT & PASTE get to work – Begin laying out the architecture for the design solution based on the research. Get the message down to its bare essence. Once the message is clarified, great design will evolve naturally.
